I suspect this is the reason why you are seeing some folders as empty. Thank you for installing MinimServer on your Synology DiskStation. You might need to change the permissions of your music folders to give read permission to the "administrators" group to make things work correctly. On DSM 7, MinimServer is not able to run with root privilege. From the Synology to the Lumin D2, is it completely wired or does it go through any sort of WiFi bridge Have you ever added some music files from a USB flash drive plugged into Lumin D2, to the current playlist In any case, please clear the playlist and re-add the music files from the MinimServer, and see if skipping still occurs.
